Effective Business Fundamentals for Washington's Minority-owned Small Business Community

The University of Washington's Business and Economic Development Center (BEDC) is partnering with local educational institutions to offer the BEDC Business Certificate Program in Tri-Cities and the lower Yakima Valley. This six-session program will be offered over a three-month time period starting in February 2009.

The BEDC Business Certificate Program brings outstanding faculty from the UW Foster School of Business and local education institutions together to provide you with an opportunity to study proven business fundamentals and learn how to best apply them to your growing company. Business owners who participate in the BEDC Business Certificate Program will also have an opportunity to meet prospective customers.

Who Should Attend

The BEDC Certificate Program is designed to assist small business owners improve the performance of their companies with the goal of both surviving the current economic downturn and strategically positioning themselves for the recovery. We invite owners and CEOs of companies with revenues under $1 million and who are ready to take their businesses to the next level to register.

Program Cost

The cost for attending the BEDC Business Certificate Program is $500. The tuition fee covers:

Partial Scholarships

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to offer a limited number of scholarships that covers 50% of the cost. Please indicate in your RSVP e-mail that you would like to be considered.
