How do America's China Policies Need to Change?
Boeing Auditorium, BAEEC 110, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
The Bush years were characterized by a fixation on a small number of economic matters with China: far and away the most prominent, how much was China’s currency – the renminbi – undervalued and what could we do about it? The creation of a Strategic Economic Dialogue identified the need for a broader agenda, but made little progress on it. The priorities and process for US-China economic relations needed to change even before the financial meltdown; now that need is multiplied. Speaker: Daniel Rosen, renowned China scholar. Q&A will follow the presentation.
