Be a Sponsor, Mentor, or Judge for GSEC
Volunteer assistance is greatly appreciated! Please contact us at gsec@u.washington.edu if you are interested in contributing to GSEC in
any of the following ways:
Sponsorship Opportunities
- GSEC event sponsor
- GSEC team travel sponsor: support an international team’s travel
costs (we try to offer scholarships to teams based on need).
- GSEC competition prize sponsor
- In-kind donations are also appreciated. (For example, donation of
airline miles)
- Other types of sponsorship are welcome available.
Mentor Opportunities
- Mentor a team: read a team's business plan and make suggestions
for improving content and/or exposition; provide advice on oral presentation; attend other GSEC Week activities as able.
- Suggested Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week starting in
December; attend the coaching round during GSEC Week; attend
GSEC Awards Banquet.
Judging Opportunities
- Judge the competition semi or final rounds: read 4-5 business plans
and prepare questions; view & judge presentations during GSEC
Week; attend GSEC Awards Banquet.
- Time commitment: 2-4 hours of reading business plans, 4-6 hours judging the team's presentation, plus optional dining with the teams
or attending the awards banquet.
